MEN UNITED IN SONG - CARDIFF An Exciting Charity Challenge Sep-Oct 2026

The Challenge spans nine weeks during September and October. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm at Cardiff High School, and the final public performance will be in the Dora Stoutzker Hall at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff on 31 October. You will be expected to learn eight songs and will receive professional help and direction as well as access to online learning aids, and rehearsal support from a small number of ‘buddies’. No previous singing experience is needed and you don’t need to be a music reader. The songs will be a mix of genres and will include one in Welsh (Calon Lân). Can’t sing? Everyone says that but it’s almost certainly not true! The rehearsals will be fun but you’ll work hard! There will be a small, one-off charge of £25 to cover music costs and you will be asked to set up a Just Giving page which you can use to get sponsorship from friends, family, and colleagues in order to raise funds for Prostate Cymru.
Are you up for the challenge? Are you brave enough to sing on stage in front of a live audience? Are you ready to be a fundraising hero? Would you like to make new friends and have some fun? If so, then request a 30-minute slot at one of our sign-up and information sessions (either Tuesday 1 September or Thursday 3 September at Cardiff High School). You’ll be able to ask questions, figure out where your voice fits, and meet others. But don’t delay – places are limited!
